The annual event includes education resources, health screenings, job vendors, vendor booths, therapists, recreational organizations, live local entertainment, free food, a children’s creative activity center, and fun for all ages!
Walk All Over Cancer Walk-a-thon event that reaches into the community to bring together neighbors, friends, co-workers, and families to celebrate those who have survived cancer and to remember those who have not. Proceeds from the event are used to help youth that are affected by cancer. We strive to give scholarships to some of these youth to help offset the costs of higher education, as well as educate them on the many resources available to them regarding cancer, research, counseling, and mentoring. With your support, One Child Our Village Foundation is able to make a difference in the lives of those battling cancer, those who have survived cancer, and those that have a parent or close sibling with cancer. These generous donations allow us to assist these youth in obtaining a stable education.

The closing session for SCORR and an annual favorite of many is the Taiko Fest. An art form originally from Japan, Taiko means “big drum,” though percussion instruments of a variety of sizes are featured, and it is a passionate art form of drumming and rhythm that is engaging and energetic. Taiko Fest through the years has featured some of the top Taiko ensembles in Southern California. Everyone is welcome, even those not attending SCORR.
